Professor Alex Evers
Alex is a physician-scientist and Henry E. Mallinickrodt Professor and Chair of Anesthesiology at Washington University Medical School in St. Louis. In the past, Alex has published research on the harmful effects of anaesthetics in neonatal models and the protection provided by xenon.

Professor Nick Franks
Nick is Professor of Biophysics & Anaesthetics, Imperial College London. He is the co-discoverer of the neuroprotective properties of Xenon (patent filer). Nick is a world-renowned basic scientist widely published and recipient of international awards. Along with being made a Fellow of the Royal Society in 2011, Nick is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Biology.

Professor Mervyn Maze
Mervyn is a tenured Professor at the University of California, San Francisco (‘‘UCSF’’), with an endowed chair. He discovered, patented, and helped market dexmedetomidine (Precedex®, Abbott/Hospira). Mervyn is the co-discoverer of neuroprotective properties of xenon (patent filer). His anaesthesia-related appointments include UCSF where he was Chair and is currently an endowed tenured Professor, Imperial College London, where he was Chair/Head of Division and Stanford University where he was Vice-Chair of Research.

Professor Warren Zapol
Warren is Professor of Anaesthesia and Reginald Jenney Professor of Anaesthesia at Harvard Medical School. Prior to Harvard Warren was Director of the Anaesthesia Center for Critical Care Research at Masssachusetts General Hospital. His research focusses on the physiological and pathophysiological roles of nitric oxide (NO).
